Preparing for your appointment

1. Avoid Caffeine/Stimulants Up to Four Hours Before Your Appointment

Caffeine and other stimulants can make our lashes flutter, making it harder for the technician to apply the extensions correctly. In addition, it can keep us from relaxing and enjoying the appointment, as we’ll be too focused on staying awake. So next time you’re booked in for lash extensions, make sure to skip the coffee beforehand and enjoy a relaxing cup afterward instead. Your lashes will thank you for it!

2. Arrive With a Clean Face and Clean Eyelashes

In order to get the most out of your lash extension service, it is important to arrive with clean lashes. Residual oils and makeup will only prevent the adhesive from properly bonding, resulting in poor retention.

3. Avoid Using Oil-Based Products on and Around the Eyes especially prior to an appointment

It’s important to avoid using oil-based products around your eyes before the appointment. Oil can cause the adhesive to break down, making it difficult for the lashes to stay in place. It will decrease your retention dramatically, which will result in you needing more frequent fills.

4. Dress Comfortably

Based on the type of set you booked for, you’ll be spending at least an hour lying down, so it’s important to be comfortable. Comfortable clothing will help you relax and enjoy the time being pampered.
